This Aquarius New Moon Solar Elipse is kicking off a new cycle with a ring of fire Solar Eclipse.The cycle begins on this New Moon, and ends in 2032
This is called an annular solar eclipse, when the Moon passes directly between the Earth and the Sun, but is too far from Earth in its orbit to completely cover the Sun’s disk.
As a result, a bright ring of sunlight, the “ring of fire,” remains visible around the Moon. This happens because the Moon’s apparent diameter is smaller than the Sun’s at this point in its elliptical orbit.
The eclipse will only be visible primarily over parts of Antarctica, while a partial solar eclipse will be in southern South America and southern Africa.
Solar eclipses have long been viewed symbolically as a threshold moment, when light is temporarily hidden and forces us to turn our attention inward. Across many cultures, eclipses have marked times of transition, reset, heightened awareness, and awakening of consciousness.
It is a powerful time to reflect on your direction and purpose, so you can make more conscious choices.

This is the first Eclipse in the Aquarius-Leo axis, setting off a new sequence of eclipses, and it’s impact will be felt for at least six months. An eclipse set along the Leo-Aquarius axis most recently occurred from 2016-2019. Before that, it was from 2008-2009.

However, it’s less about pushing forward under this Moon cycle, and more about clarifying intention, tending to unfinished business, and listening, and acting, on your intuition.
Eclipse season heightens our sensitivity, making it especially important to act consciously, and with awareness, rather than impulsively or irrationally.
