Terms & Conditions for Retreats, Events and Trainings

Including all Retreats, Events and Cacaoista Trainings

These Terms & Conditions apply to all retreats, events and trainings hosted by Rebekah Shaman, trading as Rebekah Shaman and Living Shamanically.

Rebekah Shaman’s administrative office is located at:
47 Brailsford Road, Brixton, London, SW2 2TE, United Kingdom.

Throughout these Terms & Conditions:

  • “We”, “us” and “our” refer to Rebekah Shaman / Living Shamanically.

  • “You” and “your” refer to all persons named in the booking.

By submitting a Booking Form, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

All communication must be made via email to: rebekah@rebekahshaman.com.
Proof of receipt of any communication requires written acknowledgement from us.

WHAT IS INCLUDED

Unless otherwise specified, your booking includes:

  • Accommodation

  • Meals and soft drinks (as specified in the itinerary)

  • All activities

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED

The following are not included:

  • International and domestic flights

  • Transfers outside of group arrangements

  • Travel and medical insurance

  • Visas (where applicable)

  • Optional excursions or add-ons

  • Personal expenses (e.g. laundry)

  • Staff gratuities

If you arrive or depart outside of group arrangements, additional transfer fees may apply.

BOOKING & PAYMENT

Deposit

A non-refundable deposit of £500 - £750 is required to secure your place.

Balance Payment

The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days prior to departure.

If payment is not received by the due date, and no prior written agreement has been made, we reserve the right to cancel your booking without refund of the deposit.

Payment Method

Payments are accepted via Direct Bank Transfer only.

Late Bookings

Bookings made within 30 days of departure must be paid in full at the time of booking.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All cancellations must be made in writing via email.
Proof of cancellation requires written acknowledgement from us.

  • Deposits are non-refundable.

  • Cancellation 90 days or more prior to departure: full refund minus deposit.

  • Cancellation within 90 days of departure: no refund.

  • No refunds will be issued for unused portions of a retreat, training or ceremony.

Due to the limited capacity and exclusive nature of our retreats and trainings, we strongly recommend that you obtain comprehensive travel insurance, including cancellation cover.

If minimum participant numbers are not met, we reserve the right to cancel the event. In this case, all payments received (including deposits) will be refunded in full. Refund of payments releases us from any further liability.

We are not responsible for additional expenses incurred by you, including flights, visas, medical costs or equipment.

FORCE MAJEURE

We shall not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations where such failure is caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • War or terrorism

  • Natural disasters

  • Epidemics or pandemics

  • Government restrictions

  • Transport disruptions

  • Industrial action

In such circumstances, refunds are not guaranteed unless recovered from suppliers.

TRAVEL & MEDICAL INSURANCE

You are required to obtain adequate travel and medical insurance.

Your policy must cover:

  • Medical treatment and repatriation

  • Personal accident

  • Loss of luggage and money

  • Cancellation and delays

  • Overseas legal expenses

HEALTH & FITNESS

You are responsible for ensuring you are physically, mentally and emotionally fit to participate.

You must disclose any relevant medical conditions at the time of booking and notify us of any changes prior to departure.

Participation in retreats, events and trainings may involve physical exertion, emotional processing and environmental conditions (including altitude, remote locations or limited medical facilities).

We may request medical clearance where appropriate.

We reserve the right to refuse participation or remove any participant whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or detrimental to the group. No refund will be provided in such cases.

PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

By attending, you acknowledge and accept full responsibility for your wellbeing.

Participation is voluntary and at your own risk.

We are not liable for any injury, loss, damage, trauma or reaction that may arise during or after the retreat, event or training.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All materials, teachings and content provided remain the exclusive intellectual property of Rebekah Shaman and may not be reproduced or distributed without written consent.

CONFIDENTIALITY

We respect participant confidentiality and will not disclose personal information except where required for travel arrangements or by law.

Participation & Informed Consent

By booking and attending any retreat, event, or traning you acknowledge and agree that:

  1. Participation is entirely voluntary.

  2. You understand that there may be intense physical, psychological and emotional effects.

  3. You confirm that you have disclosed in full any medical conditions, mental health history, medications, substance use, or other relevant factors that may affect your safety.

  4. You confirm that you are not currently experiencing any medical or psychiatric condition that would make participation unsafe, including but not limited to severe mental health disorders, cardiovascular conditions, or contraindicated medication use.

  5. You accept full personal responsibility for your decision to participate and for any consequences arising from that participation.

  6. You understand shamanic activities are not regulated as medical treatments and that participation does not constitute medical, psychiatric, or therapeutic care.

Rebekah Shaman does not diagnose, treat, or cure any medical or psychological condition.

Participation is not a substitute for professional healthcare.

Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge that participation involves inherent risks and that you voluntarily assume full responsibility for:

  • Any physical or psychological reaction

  • Any emotional distress

  • Any injury, illness or complication

  • Travel-related risks

  • Limited or delayed access to medical care

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Rebekah Shaman shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from participation in retreats, events and trainings.

Liability for personal injury or loss shall only arise where directly caused by proven negligence.

Total liability, where applicable, shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the retreat.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion would be unlawful under English law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rebekah Shaman from any claims, legal actions, losses, costs or expenses arising from:

  • Your voluntary participation in all activities

  • Failure to disclose relevant medical information

  • Your breach of the law of the land

  • Your conduct during the retreat, event or training

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law.
The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
